Adopt-a-Mist Net
The
songbird migration monitoring research conducted by
Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO) has documented the
timing of spring and fall songbird migration in the Lake
Erie Marsh Region. BSBO data has been used by federal,
state, and non-governmental organizations for wetland
acquisition and restoration projects in NW Ohio. Over
3,050 acres have been improved or purchased with the use
of BSBO’s research data.
The
greatest expense for this valuable project lies with the
purchase of mist nets. Each Mist net costs $65 and the
project utilizes 50 nets each year.
This is how can you help...
Any group or individual may “adopt” a mist net for a
donation of $65 per year. You will receive a thank you
letter and an end of the year report of the birds “your
adopted” net captured including any highlights!
