2011 - 2012 Duck Stamp
Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamps (commonly known as the Duck Stamp) are pictorial stamps, the profits of which are dedicated to purchasing habitat beneficial for waterfowl and other migratory birds. At a cost of just $15 for the stamp (or $17 for the stamp and a sturdy key-ring holder), the Duck Stamps are responsible for providing 98% of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge’s land. Of every dollar made from Duck Stamp sales, 98 cents goes directly toward purchasing critical habitat. This stamp will be available in July, 2011. Stop by the BSBO’s Gift Shop and get your Duck Stamp today! Or purchase your conservation stamp now using PayPal here.
BSBO believes in Kenn’s vision. We have entered into a partnership with an organization known as the Sonoran Joint Venture (SJV) to distribute copies of Kenn’s Spanish language bird guide to people across the southwestern US and northern Mexico. The SJV is a partnership of organizations and individuals striving to conserve the unique birds and habitat of this region. Visit www.sonoranjv.org to learn more about this dynamic organization. We are teaming up with other organizations across the state such as the Ohio Ornithological Society and the Ohio Division of Wildlife to get as many books distributed as possible.
