How to Use Count Day

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1) Click CountDay.org and sign-in or create an account

2) Search for the count you wish to be a part of (i.e. Fremont CBC) and click [Request to be a counter]
*You must be approved as a counter to contribute bird sightings for that count

3) Once approved by that count’s leader, the requested count will be shown in your [My Counts] page and you will be listed as a counter

4) Click on the count to view details before, during, and after the actual day of the count

5) On the day of the count, click on the [You are active today] button near the top of the page then press [Start Counting]

6) From here you can enter the number of birds you’ve seen from the given list of species
* If a species is not listed you can add them by clicking [Bird not shown] below the [Add a bird] button

​7) When finished entering your numbers, click [Save] and go back to [My Count] page
