YOUNG EXPLORERS

2007 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Young Explorers, for ages 6 – 11, provides opportunities for kids to take part in outdoor explorations of fun and exciting nature related subjects such as: birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians, and the many different habitats these creatures need to survive. Cost is $2.00 per BSBO members and $3.00 per nonmember.

All Young Explorers programs are on Saturdays, from 2 - 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted!


February 10th
- 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Backyard “Rap” Artists - Wassup in Your Backyard? Kids ages 6-11 are invited to explore the world of woodpeckers with this program given at the Observatory. Call to register.
 

Purple MartinApril 14th - Young Explorers - Scales and Skins - The Secret Lives of Snakes. Kids 6-11 are invited to the Observatory to explore what makes snakesss  sssso cool. Sssslither in for ssssome fun! $2.00 per BSBO member, and $3.00 per non-member. Please call 419-898-4070 to register.

June 9th

2 - 4 p.m. - Geology Rocks! - The Stories That Rocks Can Tell.  Open to kids ages 6-11. Looking at rocks can give a glimpse into the past, and kids will use hands-on learning to find out what makes geology fun. $2.00 per BSBO member, and $3.00 per non-member.


August 11th - 2 - 4 p.m. - Who's Bugging You? - A Close-up Look at the Totally Cool World of BUGS!


October 27th - SPECIAL TIME - 6 - 8 p.m. - Night Creatures - Exploring Nature After Dark!


December - SPECIAL DAY - SUNDAY - 2 - 4 p.m. - All My Friends Are Flakes - Fun Facts About Winter Weather!
