WETLAND INVESTIGATION NETWORK

WIN is a partnership program initiated by BSBO that combines the resources of BSBO and Magee Marsh Wildlife Area. The WIN program engages students K-12 in day-long, outdoor, hands-on experiences that provide tools to allow them to make educated decisions about conservation of natural resources.

During each visit, students are provided a “day in the marsh” experience that includes interdisciplinary lessons and activities with the research and education staff at BSBO and Magee Marsh Wildlife Area. Students visit both sites, which are within five minutes of each other, for 90-minute programs. At BSBO, students take part in the capture and banding of wild songbirds, assist with collecting and recording data, and release the birds back into the wild.

WIN Programs are FREE!

For more information about this dynamic program, please contact BSBO at (419) 898-4070 or email Education Director, Laura Guerard.
