Some important things to remember:
1) Please dress in lots of layers. We've had every kind of weather on these trips--from 60 degrees to minus 2--so layers are important.
2) <knock on wood> No one has ever gotten sick on our trips, but if you're concerned about motion sickness, please plan accordingly.
3) All trip departures and itineraries are determined on the day of the trip, based on the weather and lake conditions, by the boat captain. We make every effort to ensure that everyone has a great experience. If the lake conditions do not allow for open water cruising, we will be birding the waters behind the Cleveland break water. While we always hope to get out on to the big lake, we can have excellent birding within the breakwater. Keep in mind that if the lake is too rough for the boat, birds will likely be looking for calm water as well.
4) Refund Policy: We will refund 100% of your total amount for cancellations received 14 or more days prior to the trip departure date and no refunds for cancellations less than 14 days in advance of the trip departure date. 100% refund will be awarded if the trip is canceled by the ship line. Cancellation notices will be made via email and/or phone, and we'll post announcements to the BSBO Facebook page, so if the weather looks "iffy" please check your email, phone, and Facebook.
